About the Author
Paul E. Levy received his Ph.D. in I/O Psychology from the highly respected, traditional I/O program at Virginia Tech in 1989, where he gained teaching experience in intro, social, and I/O psychology. He has been at the University of Akron since 1989, first as coordinator of the introductory psychology program and then, starting in 1995, as Chair of the I/O graduate program. He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in I/O psychology while continuing to advance his research program in the areas of performance appraisal and feedback processes.

A good introduction text for I-O Psycholgoy

I used this book for my introduction class to I-O Psychology.
Overall, it's a fairly easy-to-moderate read and isn't too dense.
Although at times it seems a little dated, I-O Psychology is always changing and growing, so it's always a challenge to have texts sufficiently updated. Overall, a good book and one that I still keep on my book shelf. I imagine by now there is a more updated version, but still, a good book.

Very easy to understand

Sure you learn statistics in college... but after you go past chapter 2, you begin to learn more about the job of an IO Psychologist. I'm and HR major and after taking this course I was very please with this text. Easy to read, great examples, and very job-related. You will definitely understand that the Job Analysis is where the IO Psyc's job begins!

Great Book!

I had a newer version required for a college class. After the class I sold it back but still wanted the resource so I bought this edition. This is very similar to the newer edition. I really like the topics and how the ideas are presented.
